Boral Plasterboard Cornice is designed for use at the angle
between wall and ceiling surfaces. It conceals construction cracks which
often occur at these junctions and improves the appearance of a room. It
is easy to cut and fix and is suitable for most forms of
decoration.
Boral
Plasterboard Cornice is a precision-made extrusion composed of a gypsum
plaster core encased in a strong linerboard similar to Boral Plasterboard.
It may be used on Boral Plasterboard, fibrous plaster and cement-rendered
surfaces. Boral Plasterboard Cornice is available in either 55 mm or 90 mm
nominal projections.
Boral
Plasterboard Cornice Adhesive, a plastic modified plaster base material
used for adhering and finishing Boral Plasterboard
Cornice
To avoid damage, Boral Plasterboard
Cornice should always be carried on edge. It should be stored in a dry
place on racks to ensure adequate support along its entire
length.
Joints and mitres are made good with Boral Plasterboard Corn
ice Adhesive.
Boral
Standard Core Plasterboard is available in 10mm and 13mm thicknesses, with
two types of edge profile, recessed edge and square edge.
Boral Standard Core plasterboard, for
application to framed and masonry construction, is used extensively in
domestic and residential buildings, and in commercial and institutional
applications where fire resistance ratings are not required.
Boral
UNISPAN is a new light weight, resilient, recessed edge plasterboard, in
10mm thickness.
Manufactured with the same face linerboard, UNISPAN has
the non-slip surface of Boral Standard Core for easier jointing and
superior finishing with Boral jointing cements and systems.
UNISPAN
accepts the wide range of paint and decorating systems, with application
by roller or brush.
UNISPAN has been
specially designed as a ceiling lining for framing members spaced at up to
600mm centres in residential construction. It is also suitable for wall
linings, with offcuts from ceilings being used for walls, reducing likely
wastage.
With superior anti-sag performance,
UNISPAN is faster and easier to install, being approximately 25% lighter
than 13mm plasterboard.
Boral Wet Area Board, with recessed edges, is available in
10mm and 13mm thicknesses.
Following extensive developmental research
by the Company, Boral Wet Area Plasterboard, (now recognised by its blue
linerboard), is the latest advancement in water resistant
board.
Incorporated in Boral "wet area" systems, it is designed to
satisfy regulatory requirements for wall linings and floor/ wall junctions
in bathrooms, shower recesses, laundries and toilets.
13mm Wet Area
Board is mainly recommended for commercial applications, where greater
impact resistance is demanded.
Note:
Wet Area Plasterboard must be used strictly in
accordance with directions in Boral Australian
Gypsum technical
bulletins 5.01 (Wet Area Lining Systems), and 5.02 (Wet Area Systems for
Commercial and Institutional Construction).
With recessed edges, Firestop is available in 13mm and 16mm
thicknesses.
Boral Firestop, with a specially formulated fire-resistant
core, must be used in partition wall and ceiling systems where specific
fire resistance ratings are required.
These fire-rated systems are
detailed in relevant Boral Australian Gypsum technical bulletins, and
Boral Firestop must be installed strictly in accordance with systems
detailed.
With recessed edges, Wet Area Firestop is available in 13mm
and 16mm thicknesses.
Boral Wet Area
Firestop has been developed specifically for use in 'wet areas' in
fire-rated partition systems, and can be substituted for Boral Firestop in
any fire-rated partition system listed in technical bulletin 1.01
(Construction Selector, Fire-Rated and Sound-Rated Systems).
Technical
Bulletin 5.02 (Wet Area Systems for Commercial and Institutional
Construction) provides comprehensive installation details.
With bevelled edges, Shaft Liner Panels are supplied in 25mm
thickness.
Specially manufactured Firestop panels, in 600mm width,
Boral Shaft Liner panels are installed in Boral Cavity Shaft Wall systems,
providing fire protection for elevator shafts, vertical ducts and other
applications where installation is possible from one side
only.
Technical bulletin 3.02 (Boral Plasterboard Cavity Shaft Wall)
provides details of 1, 2 and 4 hour fire-rated shaft wall
systems.
Produced in 10mm and 13mm thicknesses.
Specifically
developed for use in high-performance acoustic wall and ceiling systems
not requiring fire-rating. SoundSTOP® plasterboard is utilised in
QuiteZone®, CinemaZone®, PartiWALL® and other proprietary
systems.
FlexiBOARD
Boral Plasterboard FlexiBOARD is nominal 6mm thick gypsum
plasterboard.
Specially formulated for curved surface applications. Ideal
for convex and concave designs, the feature strength core allows it to
bend to tight radii. The core is encased in a strong paperliner, with
recessed long edges enclosed within a complete paper fold, ensuring a
smooth finish when taping and jointing.
