DUROMASTIC ACS is a liquid applied membrane which when reinforced and
fully cured forms a flexible waterproof lining for showers and other wet
areas as described in Australian Standard AS3740 -1994 -"Waterproofing wet
areas within residential buildings. "
DUROMASTIC ACS forms a waterproof lining to most
materials used for building construction including reinforced concrete,
cement render; water resistant plaster board, fibre reinforced cement
sheets, particle board flooring and plywood etc. The surface must be
firmly fixed to manufacturer's directions free of protrusions,
dirt, oil and dry
COVERAGE
Floors, hobs and upturns, use 1.5 to 1.8 litres/m2, depending on the
surface texture to give a minimum dry film thickness of 0.8mm. Walls, use
0.3 to 0.5 litres/m2.
PRECAUTIONS
Do not apply above 32°C or below 8°. Wash equipment with water before
dry. Do not fix tiles until fully dry, normally 1 -4 days. Areas subject
to rising damp should be first sealed with an epoxy coating, ie.
DUROMASTIC WBE. Protect membrane against damage before and during tiling.
Tile over external compressed fibro within 4 weeks. When tiling over
external membrance surfaces ensure full allowance is made for expansion
and contraction which may damage the membrane.
PACKAGING
DUROMASTIC ACS is available in 20, 10, and 4 litre pails, or in kits
with fibreglass. Fibreglass and polyester reinforcements are available in

PRECAUTIONS
All sheet flooring must be fixed to the manufacturers directions before
membrane is applied. Do not apply above 35ºC or below 8ºC ambient. Ensure
coating is fully dry before contact with water or tiling, assist drying
with air movement if necessary. Wash equipment with water before dry.
Protect membrane against damage when tiling. Externally, provide a slip
sheet between membrane and topping and allow sufficient expansion and
contraction control joints in overlaying tiles and topping particularly
important with sheet flooring externally, or damage to the membrane may
occur. External decks shall be properly drained.
CLEAN UP
Clean up with fresh water before dry
